college 1

its my second semester at college and i have absolutely no idea how i am going to pass this semester. I cant seem to stay focused on anything for long no matter how hard i try and with finals week and a research paper do i wonder if i am going to succeed in any class this semester.

Harry potter - movies and more

    at first i was a big harry potter fan. i still am but i have been severly dissappointed with a number of things.

   those things are :

1. the series - that series was good but i dont think it ended in a good way. for instance they portray the main character who is the lacky of a man who leads a group known as the order of the fried chicken (pheonix) also they made alecto carrow into an idiot. for example if she was quiet when she was in ravenclaw tower the death eaters would have one
2. the pairings- the couples in the series were easily predictable and the fact is some of those pairings are absolutely disgusting or implied for example :

1. the carrows amycus and alecto carrow - there have been many speculations about them. Most of what i heard was they were in an incestuous relationship. However there is nothing to go on unless you count there appearance in the inner circle and at hogwarts
2. Lily and James Potter - i know that snape screwed up majorly but given his appearance in the books and movies but come on he wasnt exactly a bad guy in appearance. He just made mistakes when he was younger and ended up paying for it with his life in the end. Someone should have told harry about his parents both good parts and bad. also lily seemed like a two faced bitch because when she was alive she was defending him but one mistake from him and she wont let him apologize. i mean really the man deserved a second chance considering all the things that he had done. also dumbledore probably shouldnt have made him teach harry occulemency. knowing the former headmaster he would have told snape to let it go with james potter. it seems people forget about his mistakes and his bullying just because of what happened. yes its sad that he died but considering his past it was karma that finally caught up with the potters.

when snape said harry was just like his dad he was right about that. he is pretty much a clone or a carbon copy. all he needed to was drop his first name and everyone would have thought he was james potter come back to life.

harry potter is pretty much james potter 2.0 and the only difference between harry and his dad is there treatment of snape.

also why have another james potter. i mean yes the original was a hero but his actions created a death eater even if the death eater was a spy later on.

also sirius shouldnt have died but he shouldnt have taunted bellatrix

my position

one time i had been asked what is the difference between an anti hero and a villain. that question left me thinking. first i decided that i would research this topic more by researching the definitions of an anti hero and a villain before i thought about answering that question.

when i found out the definitions i frowned and i was also a little more than frustrated when i saw the results of my research. i believe that many peoples viewpoint on theses terms is biased and in some more extreme cases prejudiced.

first i am going to talk about the term villain. that term is loosely thrown around like candy from a pinata when it is busted open. that is where the most bias lays in my opinion. anyone that takes revenge by evil methods is a villain is what my research found. i believe that is false because taking revenge doesn’t prove you’reevil or good or anything in between. also villains have a back ground that would drive them to the point of revenge. The past of a villain that makes them take revenge does not make them evil. in my opinion they do not become evil. i believe that they are labeled evil just as heroes are labeled good. its the labels that causes people to do good or bad. i believe that these labels :

1. define some people
2. causes questions
3. causes more harm than good
4. are given to people by individuals that have a biased viewpoint

next i am going to be talking about the term anti hero. i believe it is in the middle of the spectrum of heroes and villains even though they are still considered a hero. my research found that an anti hero has little care for others. while i believe that it is true in some cases it is false in most of them in my opinion. i believe this because some anti heroes have some one to protect and they would do anything to protect that person even if it means using some “evil” methods. anti heroes in my opinion :

1. are misunderstood
2. should not be labeled as such
3. should not be compared to criminals
4. have the courage to do things their way and not worry what other people may think

anti heroes may not care much for other people but i belive that there is a reason for that. i believe that reason is because the anti hero feels betrayed by them. the reason they feel betrayed may be different for each person.

now with the resarch done. i started to think about what side of the spectrum that i would be on if i were to choose. i know that hero would be out of the question because i am oppurtunistic and manipulative. however i think that villain wouldnt always be a true label for me. i would have to say im on the spectrum between an anti hero and a villain.
